“A CLUBFUL OF SHOPKEEPERS”
WE GO INTO THE RETAIL BUSINESS
Thanks to the generosity of a local businessman we were granted use of an empty shop to sell items donated by the public. Sales raised almost £1500.
Lions Graham, Geoff, Roy and Philip pose outside - but who’s minding the shop?
It will be one of our hardworking ladies!
LION GEOFF’S ANNUAL “GUESS THE WEIGHT OF THE PUMPKIN” EVENT
In October 2009, local supermarket customers will be invited to guess the weight of Lion Geoff’s prizewinning pumpkin to raise funds to provide help to those in need in our local community.
It grows from a baby (left) to a giant (right) - hopefully, if the heavy rain hasn’t drowned it.
Lion Elizabeth and Lion President Shirley minding the stall at a previous event.
PLEASE HELP US BY HAVING A GUESS AT THIS YEAR’S EVENT.
A valuable prize for the nearest guess.
CAN YOU
GUESS HOW
HEAVY IT IS?
