How can you help?
Everyone can, of course, help us in our work by supporting the events we arrange and donating what they can afford when we have a fundraising event in the Retford area.
If you really want to help, why not consider joining us in our work?
There are no financial rewards for being a Lion, simply the satisfaction of knowing that your efforts have helped someone in need - usually in the local community.
There are no special skills required - just a willingness to serve.
Why do we serve?
We helped Nikita
Lion President Roy and Lion Graham are pictured with Nikita Yafremenka, a 5 year old from Belarus, who was born with cancer as a result of the Chernobyl disaster. We were delighted to buy him a special wheelchair to improve his quality of life before he returned home after a recuperative holiday in our area.
