We had another successful Christmas float project this year collecting over £3500 on its door-to-door collections in Retford and the surrounding villages. Santa would be unable to operate his annual programme of visits to see children in their home areas without the support of local youth groups. These groups are rewarded with a share of the proceeds to assist them in funding the activities they provide for young people.

Lions members and other volunteer helpers raised a further £1500 in Carolgate on Christmas Eve and, with the kind permission of Morrisons Supermarket, at their store prior to the festive season.
